It's A Girl! My Forever Galentine

Women have officially adopted the day before Valentine’s Day to get some girl-time in. For me, Galentine’s Day has, in the past, seemed like a great excuse to grab a glass of wine or a bite to eat with a girlfriend. But I have a new, forever Galentine in my life, and she arrives in June!

In case you haven’t been exposed to it, the term ‘Galentine’ is a made-up word marking a holiday for women who want to celebrate their female friendships.

It also describes the friend – i.e. Will you be my Galentine?

And while my husband and I usually don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day because we believe every day should be a celebration of the love we share, [not to mention being an over-commercialized excuse for candy, flower and card companies to extort consumers all in the name of ‘love’] this year we are celebrating, albeit a little differently.

Yes, this is happening… Our long awaited dream who is rocking our world and promises to make 2022 the best year EVER! This year we celebrate our new, forever Galentine…

After eight years of praying and believing for her, and resigning to always be aunt and uncle if it never happened for us, we were shocked in October to come across the news that we are expecting.

Our world is changing in the best way and we are SO ready!!

BIG Galentine celebrations are happening at the Teasdale house this year – substituting alcohol for fruit, of course, and a beautiful afternoon walk as we dream of the future with our little girl gift on the way. Our forever galentine~!
