A Veteran’s Day Salute To My Soldier

Thank you doesn’t begin to cover it. To all who have served, and are still out there defending our country – we wouldn’t be free without your sacrifice.

This is my soldier about 20 years ago when he served in the Army. He says he was proud to be a part of a brotherhood, something bigger. Something that means a great deal and which he stood for representing the freedom and soul of our nation.

He didn’t know it then, but I was in love with the idea of him. This veteran stole my heart in 2004. He served in the Army through 2005.

I’m so proud of and grateful for this man, my husband, best friend and biggest supporter, dog and chicken dad, and the high character worker and US patriot he is.

Today, honor a vet. In the midst of all the division, fear, and anger we are seeing in these days, remember that brave men and women have given their lives to protect what we hold so valuable. Our freedom, our right to freely speak, our right to live and love and be.
