With a grateful heart I remember, salute, and honor those who sacrificed it all to serve our country, and their families. Our country will forever be in their debt.
Thank you to the mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, friends and extended family who have given their own so that our freedoms and safety may remain.
As you take a long holiday weekend, be sure to remember what this ‘holiday’ is really for. A memorial is something established to remind people of a person or event, and this holiday we call Memorial Day is the most expensive holiday we commemorate.
It’s not about gas prices or hot dogs or camping gear. It’s not about honoring those who currently serve – that is celebrated in November. Instead, this day is to remember and honor those who have paid the ultimate price. Their lives.
So many have given. We have lost so, so many. We owe so much to them.

Amen!!
I also salute all the military wife’s left behind, waiting, holding down the fort, comforting children, and hoping that you never have military personnel knocking at your door. God bless them all.
