Being generous with your knowledge

Be generous with your knowledge

Are you generous with your knowledge, sharing insight and ideas freely with other businesses, entrepreneurs, clients, team members, and even friends and family? Giving away your time and what you have learned is one of the easiest ways to be generous… and you never know who you’ll impact, encourage, teach, or inspire. The ripple effects could go on and on and on…

Now, I’m not talking about sharing when unsolicited, or being prideful with what you know. I’m encouraging you to give your expertise to those who need it or ask for it – for free. In that encouragement, I don’t intend to disvalue your work or tell you not to make a living, but instead to free you to use your intuition and share freely with others when appropriate.

It could be in the form of blogging, sending emails or e-newsletters with useful information, participating in a conference or speaking to a group, or even giving a workshop. Or, it could be someone in need that could use 15 minutes of your valuable time and input, your listening ears and wisdom.

When you give freely, it will come back to you. Call it good karma, but I call it investment and doing unto others as you would like them to do to you – and pro-tip: it’s also good for marketing. 😉👍🏼
