The One We’ve All Been Waiting For…

After almost a decade in the making, she’s the one we’ve all been waiting for… Today, we’re proud to finally introduce our long awaited baby girl, the newest member of the Propel team, Adelyn!

Born June 11, 2022 at 7 lbs 4 oz and 19.5”, exactly 9 days after her mama’s birthday and 9 days before her daddy’s, with 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 strong lungs, and a personality that already has us laughing out loud at God’s humor, she most certainly is our little girl.

Life is a the most marvelous creation!

Over the last 10 months I’ve been through the most incredible experience as we miraculously conceived, carried, anticipated, and brought a precious and most valued life into the world. There is zero doubt she is wanted, needed, and destined for this time. And the whole birthing process was a surreal dream, like a movie I was watching (and also feeling) frame-by-frame. Every step was orchestrated and right for our story even though it was almost exactly the opposite of what I thought my ‘ideal birth’ would look like or be. And the birthing team we had throughout the three days we were at the hospital were each angels, advocating and caring for us and helping us make the best decisions for our family all along the way.

Kevin rockstared harder than any other person I’ve ever known, marching with me as my best friend staying right by my side every single minute, holding my hand, fanning my face, answering every beckon and call, brainstorming options and supporting in every way each and every second. My ultimate partner, Adelyn’s daddy is already the sweetest, most smitten father I’ve ever seen. To paint a small picture of his deep excitement, just before it was ‘go time’ he realized the gravity of the moment and we both wept knowing she was just moments away from our arms. It was the single most beautiful and incredible thing to walk together through those final hours of labor and receive her! And she came in with a beautiful and sassy cry that made us and the whole room giggle out loud.

My sweet mama was there too, documenting the day and each important moment and experiencing her little girl birthing the third granddaughter.

I am a blessed woman.

There are no words to express all the feels and emotions or the significance of every divine door we stepped through, but she is here and she is ours. A magnificent story indeed.

And now we embrace a new way of life, savoring each day as an opportunity we may never have been given. We might be learning fast and furiously through a firehose, but we’re soaking up every precious second of these moments and intentionally burning permanent memories into our minds. I just hope four months of maternity leave is enough. 😉
